Commercials and ads attracted prospective families by highlighting the strengths of the school, including the state of the art Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Performing Arts Center, the wonderful 14:1 student to teacher ratio, the successful athletic program and affordable tuition, and the openness to all backgrounds who would enjoy the immersive Armenian cultural program.
Events opened at Boyadjian Hall, where the Head of School, Mr. Michael J. Pratt, welcomed guests, Oriort Lora extended welcomes in Armenian, and Mrs. Stambolyan detailed the many academic programs and opportunities. Guests then proceeded to a tour of the school.
Student Council members toured the various Armenian and non-Armenian guests, walking them from classroom to classroom, where each academic department made a ten-minute presentation. They then proceeded to the gym for a presentation on athletics at AGBU MHS.
After, students and parents chatted with the Head of School along with the rest of the faculty. There were snacks and refreshments available for guests to enjoy.
The Open House was an overall success. We had over forty families—parents and children—visit our campus. It was the biggest showing in AGBU MHS history, and we are proud to have had the opportunity to highlight the true value of our school.
