This year, too, we participated to the April 24 commemorative march for justice. When we arrived at the Turkish consulate on Wilshire Boulevard, we joined thousands of other protesters. We, along with students from all Armenian schools and organizations, chanted in unity, waved flags and banners. We also prayed and sang patriotic songs. The atmosphere was spirited and empowering. The gathering became a celebration of our survival, culture, and people. We showed everyone that we are one unified race, and can never be diminished. Two seniors, Arin Boyadjian and Alec Babikian went up to the main stage and sang the American and Armenian anthems along with other students from our sister school, and fellow Armenian Schools. When we came back to school, we did not forget to visit our beloved khachkar, to take a memorable photo to honor our faith, which has kept us strong.
