On January 19, 2018, the choir class of AGBU MHS visited Ararat home, where they sang for the beautiful elders. The choir sang and the audience listened with wide smiles.  It was a very humbling and lovely experience to see what a simple visit could do. Just being with them for an hour to sing brought so much life and happiness into them. The women sang the songs and loved the Armenian music we sang. The songs were memories coming back to them and the fact that they would sing the songs with us shows how much it would mean to them. I enjoy this field trip more than anything because of the reactions received from the audience. It was a beautiful day and I loved every second of it.

I enjoyed going to Ararat Home so much. It was honestly an amazing experience because I got to sing for my elderly. My favorite part was the end when we got to take pictures with them because one grandma held my hands and said such nice words, she made me cry. I loved it.

I’m happy I sang songs for the elderly and made them happy. I have never seen people so happy to see young men and women singing and representing there culture by singing. It is a different experience to make others happy.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to go and sing for the elders at Ararat home. When I saw them smiling and singing along it filled my heart with joy. I also enjoyed making them happy by singing Armenian songs.

I’m happy I sang for the elders. I felt very emotional at the same time because my grandpa might go there soon and that makes me want to cry. It brought me great joy that I put a smile on their faces today

I thought it was very nice for us to visit Ararat Home, our second home. It was the best feeling to see after so many years, these elderly people remember our songs and sang with us. I think it was amazing how we took our time to go and visit them and spend time with them and create memories. We are also very lucky to have a good teacher like Baron Barthev because he cares so much to take us there for a field trip and make these elderly Armenians happy.

My experience was very nice because i saw believers that knew we are the upcoming generation to save our race. Every year was a new experience, but every year was a different excitement.

This field trip was a very fun one. But also it was very touching. We sang to the people at Ararat home. They were very loving and kind. My favorite part was Hot Wings Cafe. That was the best, it just topped everything off. I think we sang really good but I think we could have done way better.

I am so happy that I was able to go to Ararat home and sing for the grandparents. The smiles on their face made me happy. I had a great time and I’m sure the grandparents did too.

I enjoyed singing at Ararat home and I liked seeing all the smiles on all of the grandparents’ faces when they saw us sing. I liked being their childhood song back so they can remember what music they grew up with.

Today I learned that sometimes we think singing to people is a scary thing. As I was singing and looking at the audience they looked refreshed and happy to see us singing. I felt very happy to have the opportunity to sing to our past generation.

My thoughts on Ararat home field trip I loved singing to the elderly. It felt good making them happy. I also felt sad because one of the elderly reminded me of my grandma that passed away. Besides that it’s was a great experience and I am happy I went.
