Our students have participated in the oratorical competition exceptionally well since its establishment three years ago. This year was no exception.
Our participants, seniors Nanor Deirbadrossian and Vahe Demirdjian spent countless hours this past month preparing their speeches, perfecting their message and delivery.
Nanor's powerful argument that Armenian identity was a combination of language as well as honor and belonging roused our Armenian pride, and Vahe's vivid description of the Velvet Revolution made us feel as if we were among the protesters in Armenia.
Though both students enamored the judges and the audience, it was Vahe who retained the perpetual trophy for AGBU MHS, granting us our third consecutive victory.
We are extremely proud of both Vahe and Nanor who will be graduating this coming June.
